Blogging through paper!

I read the blog which is about 'paper blogs' and  I found it very efficient and creative. I think it is an excellent way to introduce blogging to students and  to make students excited about blogging. I think paper blogs can be implemented on all class from science to literature; therefore all teachers can use this method to reinforce the topics of the lessons as well as introducing  the blogging to students. They can also hang these paper blogs to schools corridors with Post-it notes so as to other students can read their paper blogs and can comment on it. I think it very herlpful strategy and can work with secondary students.
Furthermore, teachers can use paper blogs in language courses. For exmaple, students can write about their favourite trip/book/singer in Spanish to their paper blogs. Later on, they can give their paper blogs to each others so as to students can write their mistakes as a comment on Post-it notes. I think this method is very beneficial and enjoyable for students.

Technology infused unit

I think that the creation of technology infused unit  is very challenging due to the fact that as a students, we are not used to the lessons integrated with technology. In the lessons, our teachers doesn't apply  to any teaching softwares such as Edmodo, WikiSpaces or Jing. Their technological devices are only computers and Smartboards. Our teachers aren't role models to observe; therefore, we don't know how to create a teachnology infused unit as a student.
Besides having some challenging parts, it is very useful for us. Thanks to, technology infused unit, we became familiar lots of teaching software. All of them are very efficient and beneficial learning tools for students.  For example, students can create a discussion environment by using Edmodo, share their ideas through Googlesites or give feedback about the lesson via Blogger etc. I am very sure that as a future teacher, I will absolutely integrate my lessons with technology.

2 different ways to incorporate cell phones in the classroom!

Although some teachers think that cell phones are very distractive and unnecessary in the classroom, actually they can benefit from cell phones in their lessons. One way to incorporate cell phones in the class is to use "Wiffiti". It is a dynamic bulletin board which enable students write on it through texting by using their cell phones. To do this, firstly, teachers should create an free account on the web site of Wiffiti. Later, they should customize a screen and provide students a code where they can send their texts. I think that it is very excellent tool because teachers can use it for brainstorming activities or homeworks. For example, in Italian class, the teacher want students to text about their daily routine in Italian. Their messages appear on the screen in seconds. Then, she can demonstarate what they wrote there by using projector and can show their grammer mistakes. I think,Wiffiti is very beneficial learning tool for students.

The second way to incorporate cell phones in the class is to use "Yodio". To use it, students should create an account and should link it to their cell phone number. Then, they have to call the Yodio number in order to record their voice. Students can use it on field trips to record their observations or teachers want students to record their voice to receive feedback from them after the lesson.

Thinkfinity and SAS

http://www.englishclub.com/teach-english.htm
I found this link through Thinkfinity. My major is Teaching English as a Second Languge; therefore, I think this website is very beneficial for teachers. This website is free and its purpose is to help people to learn English and to help the teachers to make their lessons more efficient and enjoyable. Thanks to this website, I can learn some teaching tips, find some articles or essays about teaching English, disscuss with other teachers via teachers forums and create some class project with other teachers. As a future English teacher, I would use this website in the English class. There are lots of games, videos, and quizzes about English, so I would use these materials in order to make my lessons more creative and enjoyable. I would benefit from worksheets, handouts, activities and some authentic materials to reinforce students' learning and improve their listening, reading and writing skills. Moreover, I would use this website to enhance my teaching skills because there are lots of sources to do it.

This link is about "Punctuation Rules". In learning English, punctuation rules are very difficult and complex for students and thus, when teachers start to teach these rules, they get bored in short time. This link is an intereactive lesson which includes all punctuation. Firstly, you click on the punctuation that you want to focus on and then the speaker explains the rule of that punctuation and  how it is used in the sentences. It has also some practice sentences to reinforce their understandings and has a Quizz section to evaluate students and take feedback from them. Again, I would use this link in the English class. I think that using this interactive tool is very effective to teach puctuation rules because it would simplify my job and would make the course non-ordinary, different and enjoyable. Also, it would enable students to improve their listening skills.

Copyright

Students have a little idea about copyright issues, thus as a future teacher,  I'd ask what they already know about copyright issues. Then I'd explain what the copyright is, what the rules and laws are and say that they can not use, change and share other people's materials which are protected by copyright laws. I'd also mention about 6 different types of copyright. I'd divide students into group of 6, I'd give each group one type of Copyright and  I'd like them to reseach it and present it in front of the class next week. I think this can help students to understand Copyright issue better and also they can realize what they should/shouldn't when they use other people's sources.

Flipped Classroom

I think Flipped Classroom is very beneficial for both students and teachers. Teachers can teach students outside the classrom by using videos and podcasts and use the classroom time with pair/group works and more efficient activities and exercises. Students also can watch these online videos and  podcast at their home or another place. They can pause and replay  them whenever they want. They also discuss with their peers and teachers online. However, some students don't want to involve in Flipped Classroom because they have already lots of classes in school and they may want to take a rest in their homes.

What I hope to learn from this clas?

Actually, I am not interested in tecnology and I'm not good at  any softwares or programs. However, after this class, I will learn lots of different softwares which will be very beneficial in my teaching life in the future. Thanks to this clas, I will enhance my technology knowledge and I will  be more effective and qualified teacher .For example, I can use different techniques by using these softwares.
